This book is a bit dated (1998), but all of the info within is just as fresh as when published. The only thing that has changed in any appreciable way is the equipment available on the market. I recommend this book, and there are a lot of informative videos on Youtube. Look for videos related to 'ham radio go box'.Regards,John Price

Very good book

Some of the equipment in the book is a bit dated but ideas are still relevant. Good if you are preparing on a budget and may use some less than "state of the art" communications equipment. For less than $3 on Amazon it was a bargain!
